What a Custom Session Really Is
People ask me for a custom session as though they are ordering something from a menu. They tell me what they want, expecting a transaction. And then, almost always, they discover that what they actually received was something quite different from what they thought they were asking for. So let me tell you what a custom session really is, before you decide whether you are ready for one.
It is not a request fulfilled. It is attention turned entirely on you, for a while, by someone who knows exactly what to do with it. The thing you asked for is only the doorway. What happens once you are through it is the part you came for, whether or not you knew it.
The difference between mine and yours
When you choose something already made, you are stepping into an experience shaped for everyone and no one in particular. It is mine, offered to you, and there is real pleasure in receiving something on my terms. A custom session inverts that. It is built around you specifically, your particular wanting, the exact shape of the thing that has been sitting in the back of your mind, unspoken, perhaps for a long time.

Your part is simply to not lie to me about what you want, which is harder than it sounds and more rewarding than you expect.
It also asks for a little patience. Something made for you is not produced the instant you ask. There is a waiting, and the waiting is not an inconvenience to be tolerated; it is part of the experience, the anticipation of a thing being made for you somewhere, by me, in my time.
