Pastel Tie Dye Fluffy Open Toe Slippers, Pink Blue Lilac, Worn Barefoot
Pretty colours hiding dirty habits.
Pastel tie dye fluffy slippers in pink, blue, lilac, and yellow. Open toe, backless, plush pile across the strap and lining. The colours are soft and sweet but the fluffy insoles have flattened and darkened from barefoot wear. The pile that was once thick and even has been pressed flat under the ball of my foot and heel, matted down where my toes have gripped into it day after day.
I wear these barefoot around the house for hours. The open toe means my toes hang over the edge while the fluffy strap holds across the top of my foot. The plush lining traps heat differently to cotton or nylon. The loops in the pile hold warmth in the gaps between the fibres rather than absorbing it into a flat surface. It builds slowly, diffuses through the texture, and stays there. By the time I kick these off the insoles are warm and carrying everything the pastel exterior pretends isn't there.
