The leather is firm and worn in, holding its shape from years of use while showing every crease and scuff that comes with being worn properly. The pointed toe is sharp enough to make a point without saying a word.
I wear these barefoot. The leather lining runs from toe to knee and every inch of it has had direct contact with my skin. Nothing between my feet and the material, nothing softening the connection. Leather absorbs over time and these have had plenty of time. The insoles have taken my shape permanently. The lining up the shaft has pressed against my calves for hours at a stretch, warm and close, sealed inside firm leather that doesn't give.
