Black Leather Riding Boots, Knee High, Flat Sole, Muddy and Well Worn Barefoot
Puddles, mud, country lanes.
These boots don't get a choice about where I take them.
Black leather knee-high riding boots with a round toe, flat sole, and inner zip. No heel, no platform, just solid leather from foot to knee built for walking through whatever is in front of me. The mud is caked across the toes and soles, splashed up the sides, ground into the seams. These have been through fields, standing water, and wet gravel and they show every step.
I wear these barefoot. The flat sole means my entire foot sits level against the insole with even pressure from heel to toe. No tilt, no concentration point, just full contact across the whole surface. Leather absorbs and with a boot this tall there's a lot of leather doing the absorbing. From my toes to my calves, every inch of the lining has had bare skin pressed against it for hours at a time. The insoles have moulded flat to my foot shape and the calf lining has softened where my legs sit.
The outside comes back filthy. The inside stays warm. You'll get both.
