Ignored and Silent Treatment Audio
I'm right here. And I'm pretending you don't exist.
Five minutes of audio where you can hear me. You can hear me breathing. Scrolling my phone. Sighing. Laughing at something that isn't you. Occasionally I'll mutter something under my breath. A comment about how pathetic you are for sitting there listening to this. Then silence again. You're nothing. You're background noise. And the worst part is you paid for the privilege.
Every now and then I'll acknowledge you just long enough to make it sting. I'll say your name once. Flatly. Like I forgot you were there and I'm annoyed you reminded me. Then I'll go back to ignoring you. You'll hear me living my life on the other side of the mic while you sit there desperate for one more word.
The silence does more damage than any insult ever could. You'll replay the moments where I almost spoke to you over and over wondering what I was about to say. I wasn't about to say anything. You're not worth the effort.
Five minutes is the starting point. Want to be ignored longer? Add on five minutes at a time. I can do this all day.
