Black patent knee highs with a pointed toe, block heel, and inner zip. The patent is creased and worn from use, scuffed where the leather has bent and folded with every step. The shine is still there but it's not pristine. It's the kind of gloss that tells you these have been pulled on, zipped up, and worn hard rather than kept on a shelf.
I wear these barefoot. Patent doesn't breathe. The entire shaft from toe to knee is sealed against my skin with no air getting in or out. The block heel keeps my weight distributed differently to a stiletto, more even, more grounded, which means more of the insole takes the pressure rather than concentrating at the toe. The result is a full foot imprint rather than a single pressure point. Every inch of the insole has had contact.
